The Package Manager is a SMS2003 light weight Console that makes it possible to implement a simple release management concept and an easy-to-use distribution model.
Package Manager Features:
• Manages the release of software packages in a final
acceptance.
• Distributes software from GUI without any access to
the SMS console
• Non-experts can distribute software, targeting and
assigning packages from GUI using simple drag &
drop.
• Forces “download policies” from GUI, which
initiates an instant installation of software on
the client/server.
