Cloud Components are applications that have been converted to software components.
They can be used and programmed in CC Client.
Basically any Windows application can be a Cloud Component, if corresponding interfaces are available.
Cloud Components can be:
•Word Processors like Word
•Spreadsheets like Excel
•Drawing applications
•etc.
Each Cloud Component can be extended by customized extensions (CC Extensions).
The Cloud Component Framework offers a variety of benefits:
•Using a complex application like Word as software component
•The application runs on a Cloud Server therefore no local installation is required
•The integration in web applications is possible from now on
•Also other technologies can use the components (e.g. Java)
•Normally the component contains only the editing area but no toolbar. Therefore a design conflict is avoided. The developer defines, which feature is provided.
•The integration can be easily done like any other component
•Customizable extensions by CC Extensions
•Greatly scalable by software architecture
