Review SportsRM by Tennis Australia

  • 4.5
  • Overall Rating 4.5 stars

Pros
The SportsRM system has been used during the Australian Open Tennis. We used this system to capture participants’ registrations for the Kids Tennis Day event. Subsequently, we used it to communicate with these customers by email and to handle customer enquiries. The elaborate reporting possibilities allowed us provide senior management with real time updates on the number and type of registrations. If you are familiar with Microsoft products this will be easy to understand and use.
Cons
The reporting tool is very comprehensive. If you are after specific data it is sometimes a bit difficult to find what you are looking for. Perhaps this could be made a little easier.
Additional Comments
SportsRM is a great tool to manage sport customer relationships. It has also allowed us to get a better understanding of our customers. At Tennis Australia we are very happy with the product and we look forward to continue using it.

Great use of CRM platform in sporting world

  • 5.0
  • Overall Rating 5 stars

Reviewed by:DrSport Reviewed on:2/05/2011

Pros
As people in the sporting world know, CRM is a lot more complex not only because of the huge variation iin the number of the different types of relationships that you have but also because these multiple relationships can also refer to the one person I.e. A member may also be a sponsor who is also on the board! Things can get very complication very quickly. Jaythom did a great job in helping sort out all of the complexities of these relationships while also building a solid base for managing both memberships and events. It really was a one stop shop for resolving a large number of our issues. We also had a number of integration issues to deal with, both with the transferring of old data and also linking to other systems. Jaythom did a great job of sorting all of these issues out. If you are using Microsoft CRM or looking at a CRM solution in the sports world, pretty hard to go past this one.
Cons
I think the main issue you have to face is the buy in you have to get from staff on this. In the sports world you can have a number of people who aren't very tech savvy and jumping into CRM can be quite a leap for them. Well worth organizing a fair bit of training so people can handle the move to CRM. It can be quite a challenging interface to deal with but this relates to CRM in general, not just Sports RM.
Additional Comments
Very happy with our implementation. Also had a web based membership application/renewal system up and running just in time for our busiest time of year. Of course, it paid for itself with us being able to target people who hadn't renewed. Amazing what a nice kiss-up phone call will do!
