The client approached the market to find a technology partner who could not only work with them to complete their OS migration, but also a technology partner who had the breadth and depth of IT services which the organisation would require moving forward.
After a complex and lengthy tender selection process, they chose Datacom.
The datacom solution included performing a needs analysis across the business encompassing over 1000 users across 56 locations. Once this analysis was completed Datacom were then engaged to perform and complete the design, implementation, configuration, and
support for provision of a production and disaster recovery infrastructure solution, incorporating best of breed technology, virtualisation, WAN optimisation, and Core Microsoft technology solutions.
The solution encompassed all of the components of the Microsoft Core Infrastructure platform including Windows Server Enterprise & Data Centre, Exchange & OCS for messaging solutions, SCOM & SCSM for management, Sharepoint for collaboration, SQL, and Windows
Remote Desktop Services. This in collaboration with a standardised x86 production and disaster recovery architecture, combined with server and application virtualisation, provided the client with a scalable, flexible and easy to manage environment moving forward,
whilst giving them them a greater choice of applications, and easier management of internal resources.
Once implemented, the client has an environment that is standardised, flexible, agile, and scalable, as the business demands, giving them better efficiencies with their resources, improved data management and collabration, and enabling them to spend more time
investing in new and innovative programs to help their clients, whilst knowing they have the IT Infrastructure to support business strategies and future growth.
