As an example - AMP is Australia's largest retail and corporate superannuation provider, and one of the region's most significant investment managers with more than A$111 billion (as at 30 June 2010) in assets under management.

AMP had a requirement to implement a new contract management system in order to achieve consistency and compliance across all agreements and suppliers, prior to the expected $14Billion merger with AXA Asia Pacific.

Planning and deploying this new contract management system was a matter of great urgency for AMP senior management as many of the cost savings expected from the AXA merger could only be achieved if there was a simple way to standardize suppliers agreements.
Ensyst was approached by Microsoft to work on a joint bid to win the AMP business.

Ensyst was the natural choice for Microsoft Australia due to our expertise across the full Productivity stack. In addition, Ensysts’ experience with some of the largest firms in Australia meant that Microosft Australia could trust that any winning project would be delivered on time and to a standard that was worthy of the Microsoft name.

Ensyst and Microsoft competed with and beat out the incumbent contract management system moving AMP, instead, to a full SharePoint 2010-based solution including InfoPath 2010, Visio 2010, Office 2010 and SSRS 2008 R2.

Ensyst conducted the project using configuration elements in SharePoint 2010 with minimal need for custom coding which essentially kept cost and complexity down and ultimately were able to offer a solution that is 100% tailored to AMP’s needs at a cost that was lower than the off-the-shelf products originally considered by AMP that were estimated to have only a 70% fit to their requirements.

From an end-users point of view, the final solution was designed by creating 4 contextually sensitive portals filtering the same information in different manners – providing role specific information wherever and whenever it was needed.
