Description

Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority selected Ensyst's Project Services team to implement an innovative Enterprise Voice solution that will integrate Microsoft's Office Communications Server 2007 R2 with their legacy NEC PABX infrastructure, which has reached
the end of it's operational life.



The solution integrates voice communications with e-mail, calendaring, instant messaging and video conferencing to provide a unified experience for users and unified management for administrators. This will allow users to initiate voice communications from
within applications such as Microsoft Office Outlook and easily escalate e-mail and instant messages to voice, video and conference communications.

 

OCS 2007 R2 was integrated with the legacy telephony infrastructure utilising the NET VX1200 gateway to provide coexistance with the existing NEC PABX, thereby extending its operational life.
