Do I need to join Pinpoint to use it?
Pinpoint is a free service, open to everyone to search and browse. If you provide a software application or professional service and would like to appear on Pinpoint, please go to the Pinpoint Partner Center.

  • Find the right software and professional services. Powerful search functions make it easy with relevant detailed product and service specifications. Customer Ratings and Reviews identify high-performing software and professionals.

What are product-specific marketplaces powered by Pinpoint?

Microsoft product groups are aligning with the Pinpoint model to create marketplaces that specifically designed to help business customers find trusted experts, and applications and services that enhance and easily integrate specific Microsoft products.

Powered by the Microsoft Pinpoint platform, these marketplaces give you greater visibility to Microsoft partners who specialize in specific products and product groups, and can best address your business issues and support your long-term goals. Search by product, business issue or location. Use the filters to fine-tune your search to find exactly what you need. With listings to serve you both locally and worldwide, finding the right expert, application or service is easier than ever.

Tips on Searching Pinpoint

How do I perform a basic search?
  1. Click the arrow in the upper right corner next to the market name and select a country.
  2. Enter your search criteria in the search bar OR click on the arrow in the Browse by Category tab and select a category (plus sub-category if applicable).
How do I search by application?
  1. Click the arrow in the upper right corner next to the market name and select a country.
  2. Click on the Applications link in the What are you looking for? box. (If you are on the home page, this will open a new page.)
  3. Enter the name of the application in the search bar.
  4. Hit Search.

You have 3 options to narrow your search (Best Match is the default option):

  • Highlight Rating to see the applications matching your search criteria that have customer ratings and reviews.
  • Highlight Name to see the results in alphabetical order.
  • Highlight Release Date to see the applications matching your search criteria filtered by most recent release date.
How do I search by professional service?
  1. Click the arrow in the upper right corner next to the market name and select a country.
  2. Click the Professional Services link in the What are you looking for? box. (If you are on the home page, this will open a new page.)
  3. Enter the name of the professional service in the search bar.
  4. Hit Search.

You have 2 options to narrow your search (Best Match is the default option):

  • Highlight Rating to see the companies matching your search criteria that have customer ratings and reviews.
  • Highlight Name to see the results in alphabetical order.
How do I search by company name?
  1. Click the arrow in the upper right corner next to the market name and select a country.
  2. Click the Companies link in the What are you looking for? box. (If you are on the home page, this will open a new page.)
  3. Enter the name of the company or its initials in the search bar.
  4. Hit Search.

You have 2 options to narrow your search (Best Match is the default option):

  • Highlight Name to see the results in alphabetical order.
  • Highlight Rating to see the companies matching your search criteria that have customer ratings and reviews.
How do I search by geographic area?
  1. Click the arrow in the upper right corner next to the market name and select a country.
  2. Click the Companies link in the What are you looking for? box. (If you are on the home page, this will open a new page.)
  3. Enter the name of the company in the search bar.
  4. Enter the city or zip code in the Location box and hit Search.
  5. Alternatively, you could choose a Business Need, Competency, etc. (which automatically starts the search function).

Ratings and Reviews

Clicking on the button Submit a Review on the partner’s Review page (or App/Service overview page) will open a new screen that asks you to sign in with your Windows Live ID. Don’t have a Windows Live ID? You can get one on the sign-in page.


Once you are signed in, you create a nickname (to keep your comments anonymous). Then follow the prompts to rate the service, application, or company and offer your comments. Please share your opinion using the Pinpoint Review Guidelines.

Where’s my review?
It will take 24-48 hours for your review to appear on Pinpoint. If after three working days your review is not visible, please contact the Pinpoint team. Note that if your review does not follow the Pinpoint Review Guidelines, it may have been rejected.
