ComputerTalk technology enables Kids Help Phone's pioneering services

Pros
ComputerTalk has been a vendor of choice as a partner of both Bell Canada and Microsoft, both of whom are also important supplier partners of our organization, for some time. Having supplied IVR technology in the past, we were familiar with the high quality and excellent support of ComputerTalk's technology services. When Bell recommended migrating from a premises based contact centre platform to ComputerTalk's hosted Centre ICE platform, we recognized the benefits in reduced cost of ownership, increased reliability, and access to continually updated functionality. Kids Help Phone began to use the Centre ICE platform for voice contacts in June 2010 and is now nearing completion of adding IM chat as a trial service thanks to ComputerTalk's industry leadership in applying Microsoft Lync technology within the Centre ICE platform.
Cons
There is very little not to like about the company. Located near us in the Greater Toronto Area, we have been fortunate to enjoy meeting technical and business reps of the company. Despite supplying services under contract with Bell, the ComputerTalk team has demonstrated a high commitment and affinity for our non-profit, charitable aims and we have never been disappointed by any support, communications or core service delivery. We've experienced only 1 brief outage by prior announcement during our contract period to date; reliability is not an issue. Supplied as software as a service, the cost of the monthly subscription is not insignificant but definitely valued appropriately.
Additional Comments
We strongly recommend ComputerTalk both in terms of the solid products they are providing today to the contact centre, voice application, and outbound contact markets and in terms of their position to continue to grow in the future as Microsoft partners leveraging powerful technologies including Microsoft Lync.
