Patch management processes that are not optimized for centralized and coordinated flows can create more problems than they solve. Patch management requirements are complicated with the needs of release management and security. Infront developed OPAS on System Center 2012 R2 to leverage System Center Orchestrator to ease and automate the patching and verification of:
• Microsoft Failover Clusters (Windows 2008 R2 – Windows 2012 R2)
• Microsoft Exchange 2010 and 2013 (DAG, CAS, HUB and UMS roles)
• Custom High-Availability Server schemes (web farms, LOB app servers, etc.)
• Stand-alone Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V hosts and guests (controlling unnecessary VM guest restarts across multiple host reboots)
Infront OPAS brings mature, repeatable automation to patching, with the familiar and flexible Orchestrator workflow. Automating patching let’s IT organizations to enable comprehensive risk mitigation, as well as decrease audit failure rates.
