GreenMeeting raises the corporate visibility of the efficiencies and savings of virtual meetings in place of physical face-to-face meetings. Employees receive immediate feedback showing them the impact their decision had on the company's carbon footprint
all within Microsoft Outlook. It does this by calculating the time, cost, and carbon savings that have occurred as a result of opting to hold virtual meetings, and broadcasting these savings to employees and their workplaces.

For the organization, GreenMeeting provides data to create corporate-wide green policies that work by providing analytics around meeting times, locations, travel, and carbon costs.

Using GreenMeeting is easy! The solution uses the Microsoft Unified Communications platform so employees are not required to "learn" a new software application. To initiate a green meeting a user hits a ‘Go Green’ button installed in the Outlook ribbon interface.

When the time comes to join the meeting, the user clicks on the 'Join GreenMeeting' link in the invitation and she is taken to a Join Meeting page, which prominently displays time, cost, and carbon savings for the meeting. Each user is able to see their personal time, cost, and carbon savings on his My Savings page as well as aggregate data for the entire company on the Our Savings page.
