Pros
We have used Orchid IT to supply our organisation with new Microsoft Software, including Server 2008, Exchange 2010 and have always found them very knowledgeable and cost effective. We shall now be using them to assist with the migration between our old Server 2003 AD to the new 2008 and have no doubts that the process will be completed as planned and on time.

Migration to Server 2008

Pros
We were struggling on hardware in excess of 5 years old, and our infrastructure was overly complex (22 servers, SAN etc) given that we are between 50 and 80 users in size. Our Server 2003 platform was beginning to fall over in places so our IT Support Partner Orchid quoted, supplied, installed and commissioned a new server platform consisting of a new Exchange 2010 server, 2 x Domain Controllers, 3 x Remote Desktop servers, a File and Print server and a new SQL 2008 server. The project went smoothly and according to plan, although the full implementation of the SQL server has been delayed by our ERP Partner carrying out their part of the project! We are pleased to be working with Orchid, and we find their engineers knowlegable, helpful and always friendly.

Pros
I have recently worked on 2 big projects with Orchid IT to upgrade all hardware and software on two sites in the UK. I would recommend them to anybody doing the same. Everyone involved including sales, cable install, on site engineer and help desk, were very professional and had the correct skills for the job in hand. Orchid are a very flexible company and I always feel that they really do want to do all they can to get the project complete, whatever it takes. I would be happy to recommend them to anybody.

No issues as yet, all work and services completed OK.

Pros
We have been using Orchid as our hardware and software reseller for the last 10 years. They have always been able to provide excellent pricing along with efficient service. They also provide us with value added services such as imaging new PCs and Laptop and asset tagging all the equipment we purchase through them. In recent years Orchid have been doing all our cabling and new server installations. Orchid are always willing to go out of their way to provide the services we need.

Due to the great service Orchid have been able to provide us they are now managing our disposal process and are just about to take over the hardware maintenance so Orchid will then manage the lifecycle of our hardware from buying the equipment through to disposal.

Pros
Very good customer service, great point of contact with dedicated acc manager. Not pushy salespeople. Very honest -let you know if they have a big problem to deal with on support that may delay them answering a little problem of yours. Nothing can't be done but will highlight all gains/costs before going ahead. Understand that we all aren't computer experts. Wanted a terminal server for ages, old support Co didn't want to do it, Orchid installed no probs and not had 1 problem yet. Tel support is good and they will come on site if we need/want them to. Overall very happy with service/price from Orchid.

We have been using Orchid now for 6 months and they have been so much better than our previous IT support company. Long may it continue!
