SilverLight is a revolutionary new technology from Microsoft to rival Macromedia Flash. Its tight integration with Microsoft .Net means that it can easily take data from a variety of sources, such as from different databases or web services, and display
them in a meaningful and powerful fashion – using colour, sophisticated animation and drill down features to boost impact.
Using Silverlight we are able to take data from almost any source and represent it in an easy to digest and appealing manner. The benefits are increased user engagement through improved information architecture and better representation of data. In a recent
project we delivered a interactive world map on a touch screen showing diabetes cases by country alongside other relevant information. Touch screen navigation made getting to the data simple and allowed for drill-down from continent to the specific country's
data. The data was supplied by a multitude of data sources. The types of applications that can be developed using Silverlight is virtually limitless. Our Microsoft accredited staff are here to help you get the most from Silverlight.
Leading pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk has created a highly interactive informational resource and sales and marketing tool using Microsoft .NET technology and SilverlightTM, from Concentra. The resource uses a world map idea to let users drill down
to research both global and local trends in diabetes, one of the world’s biggest killers. The tool is a fusion of marketing and corporate social responsibility and is a ‘first’ for the organisation, but has been so successful it is being incorporated into
the organisation’s marketing and education mix.
