Application Description
The Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Event Pipeline provides a declarative approach of publishing events to external systems. The logic of the solution is based on the simple endpoint- event system, where the endpoints represent external systems. The communication with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 takes place via system files, WCF adapter and for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Via Windows Azure Service Bus.
By default, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is not able to publish events to external systems, except for the Service Bus. However, in on-premise scenarios this approach is not highly efficient. Furthermore, the whole configuration has to be done by using administrative tools. In contrast, the Event Pipeline allows configuring all endpoints and their associated events in a clear way, allowing the definition of reusable triggers.
