Application Description
TimeControl is designed to help organizations collect timesheet data and use the same data for multiple purposes. With TimeControl, timesheet data entered in Microsoft Project and Project Server can also be used for financial purposes such as payroll, billing, job costing, and variance reporting. TimeControl integrates directly with Microsoft Office Project Web Access in Microsoft Office Project Server, and the data is typically stored in a Microsoft SQL Server database. TimeControl is designed to link its data directly into ERP or finance systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials, and J.D. Edwards as well as corporate human resources systems such as PeopleSoft and payroll systems such as Automatic Data Processing (ADP). This provides a single time-entry system for corporate-wide use. The same timesheet can be used by both project and non-project personnel, and the data, once entered, is then redirected to both Project 2003 and the ERP environment. TimeControl helps organizations greatly reduce the number of redundant timesheet systems and prevent time lost using duplicate systems and attempting to reconcile disparate timesheet data. TimeControl supports HMS Software’s Matrix Approval Process, which allows approvals by both finance and project management simultaneously. TimeControl also supports a range of compliancy standards such as Sarbanes Oxley, DCAA, FMLA, and the EEC Work Rules. TimeControl’s direct integration with the Microsoft Project Server Web interface delivers an uninterrupted user experience when both systems are tied together. In an enterprise project management implementation, TimeControl provides the underlying common denominator for the project environment to integrate to corporate systems.
