SIP/PSTN for Enterprise Voice

  • 5.0
  • Overall Rating 5 stars

Pros
My clients like the feature rich offerings O365 has to offer. However, the limitations around enterprise voice on the PSTN side is missing. InterCall provided SIP services to deliver this functionality. Great training and adoption as well as the end user support. This takes a lot of burden of of our team.
Cons
Price was higher than buying via Microsoft direct. But, Microsoft doesn't deliver or offer 24/7 support. If you have an issue you have to submit an email to generate a trouble ticket. Buying thru InterCall you just dial into their tier 1/2 support centers...

Pros
They were very easy to work with and get the service set up, no configuration on my part aside from importing the user list into Office 365
Cons
It would be nice if I could buy this service as part of Office 365 subscription

Thanks Sean, you were a big help!

Wouldn't respond to Sales Inquiry

  • 0.5
  • Overall Rating 0.5 stars

Reviewed by:Billybobjcv Reviewed on:1/7/2014

Pros
No idea
Cons
I tried several times over several weeks to get *anyone* from Intercall to contact regarding this service. All of my emails and voice messages apparently went into a blackhole. No one responded.
Additional Comments
The most appalling thing was that I even tried to use their online chat to get someone to talk to me. The response from the rep on chat was: "You can call the Sales phone number on the web site." I called it - and I was sent directly to voicemail. No one ever called me back. Come on Microsoft! Can't you find some way to add decent call-in conferencing to Lync Online???

Pros
It does work with Lync for Office 365. This can't be denied.
Cons
It is quite expensive per minute, but that is okay they are providing a service. What is not okay is the massive lack of competent customer support. Say the word office 365 to them and you can hear the absolute lack of understanding as they fumble through a script. Expect 0 help getting this setup.
Additional Comments
HIDDEN FEES. As an example I had setup a brief test conference, I was billed 4 minutes for voice charges and 35$ FOR A POST CONFERENCE EMAIL!?!. They are shameless.

Very Happy So Far

  • 4.5
  • Overall Rating 4.5 stars

Pros
It was very easy to set up. I have a vanity domain and had previously set up all my DNS settings according to Microsoft's documentation. Intercall worked right away. I registered for the $0.10/minute/user plan online (could get a little pricy), got the email, entered the settings and everything worked. When I start the meeting with Lync, I can use my integrated computer audio without having to dial into the conferce line with a seperate phone just to enter the leader pin which is really nice.
Cons
The cost can get a little high. I don't need the audio conferencing enough to justify a monthly subscription. However, if I get to hour long phone call a month with 4-6 people it the cost can add up very quickly. I just got the service today so I haven't given it a good test yet, but with the setup and short test no other real technical complains.
Additional Comments
This could belong under what I didn't like, but the support at InterCall isn't real familiar with the Office 365 integration. I called the support line before signing up hoping to get my questions met and the support staff said they "are still in learning and training on the integration" and I wasn't able to get any of my questions answered. So I just took the plunge and signed up for the pay-per-use plan figuring if I only used it once for a few minutes in a test I would be out less than a dollar :). Better support/responsiveness from support would definitely be a plus in my experience.

Works great

Pros
We are using InterCall audio with our Lync Online accounts and the audio integration works great with call back to those who wish to join from their phone and in call control. My favorite though is the iPad app, I can join a meeting from my iPad and it automatically calls my cell phone.
Cons
We did run into an issue in the begining because we used a vanity domain and apparently did not make all the correct changes with our DNS provider. Once that was complete however all worked well.
Additional Comments
Very happy with the service and plan to roll out to more users.
