schoolBrains: K-12 Education Management System

Pros

Our school district deployed SchoolBrains in 2009. We wanted to unify all of our student, personnel and assessment data and we found that they did a great job of just that. We have schools in the "needs improvement" category and SchoolBrains helped us meet AYP goals with their integarted test builder, item bank and analyzer. Combining all the other systems into one saved the district a noticeable sum and allows us to quickly located necessary data, customize reports and is quite efficient. Support and training are top notch.

Cons

Getting data out of systems that do not provide for an easy method of data extraction is time-consuming but necessary to meet our goals of unifying key information. Once we extracted the data, SchoolBrains support was very helpful during the importing and implementation phase.

Additional Comments

There seem to be many 'all-in-one" systems on the market lately but we found SchoolBrains to be highly supportive and cost-effective.
