At some point, most organizations find themselves running out of computing resources. As applications get bigger and more memory and processor hungry, the only solution until fairly recently was to invest in additional or more powerful servers and on-premise data centers.
Although this solution provides the resources you need, when you need them, it is both costly and wasteful. You may only need the extra resources for a specific project, such as the development of a new application. Once you have completed the project, the extra server you invested so heavily in sits there unused and gathering dust.
This is where Azure Infrastructure as a Service, or IaaS, comes in.
Unlike an on-premise solution where you provide and manage everything, Azure IaaS allows you to use servers, storage and networking devices hosted in the Cloud, giving you the power and scalability you need without the expense.
You retain control over the application and the resources, but the ‘hardware’ is provided and managed by Microsoft, making IaaS tremendously cost-effective. There are no huge up-front costs and you pay only for the resources you use.
As a holder of Microsoft Gold Competencies in Management and Virtualization; Small Business; Midmarket Solutions Provider and one of only a few dozen Tier Three members of Microsoft’s Cloud Champions Club, Agile IT is recognized as best-in-class for Azure IaaS.
