AudioCodes

Lync & OCS connectivity with existing VoIP & PSTN environments

by AudioCodes

AudioCodes has collaborated with Microsoft to provide enterprises a smooth migration path to the world of Unified Communications from the world of separate, stand-alone telephony and IT environments. AudioCodes offers businesses a key component in the unified telephony network, the Media Gateway, which connects the existing legacy PBX and/or IP-PBX as well as PSTN and SIP Trunking providers with Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007.

AudioCodes current offering include Enhanced Gateways and Survivable Branch Appliances (SBA). The SBAs are based on AudioCodes gateways - the Mediant 1000 and the Mediant 2000 which are hosting the Microsoft SBA software package and are designed to address the integrations needs of remote offices and enterprise branches. The enhanced gateways are based on AudioCodes gateways: the Mediant 800, Mediant 1000, Mediant 2000, Mediant 3000 and Mediant 8000 which are communicating with an external mediation server and are designed to address the integrations needs of Lync Server 2010 systems which are deployed in data centers and large enterprise branches. This is in addition to the AudioCodes existing line of “Basic” and “Basic Hybrid” gateways for Office Communications Server R1 & R2. Existing Office communications Server 2007 R2 gateways can be field upgraded to support Lync Server 2010.
