The team site template enables project collaboration, document management, and project registers for monitoring & controlling activities. It leverages the MOSS 2007 features - Collaboration - Information
discovery and retrieval via search - Role based access controlled security - Auditing of user actions - Document Management - Versioning - Check in – check out source control - Content Approval Workflows 




Information added to the Project Team Site is - Searchable - Secured using role –based access control - Audit trail to track who and when documents are read, edited and deleted - Easily reconfigurable
as Project Managers can reconfigure any of the registers, document libraries or page layouts as needed  




For Project Members, it provides a Central Repository that can assist a team with - Communications (Announcements, Blog, Discussion Board, Calendar, Contacts)- Tasks (Scheduled
tasks, Action Items) - Document Management (Versioning, Check-in Control, Approval and Feedback Workflows) - Project Registers (Actions, Issues, Risks, Change, Acceptance, Leave) - Reports (Overview, Project Health)
