The SharePoint 2010 Upgrade program is an end-to-end upgrade programme to move customers from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010. The upgrade programme works through 5 phases. It begins with a Learning phase
where we ensure that all the knowledge necessary to drive a successful upgrade is in place. The Prepare phase then brings the existing SharePoint 2007 environment into a state where we can create the backups which will be needed to upgrade. A test phase then
tests the upgrade on a Test/QA farm. Following a successful test phase the Implement phase performs the actual upgrade and the program concludes with a Validate phase where the upgrade is validated and some post upgrade steps are performed. The entire programme
typically runs for 3 weeks.
