Pros
Our management evaluated a number of systems, citing support and ongoing development as crucial to the selection process. Eventually our company chose Microsoft Dynamics GP, a powerful and flexible business management solution; "Microsoft has thousands - rather than a handful - of developers. This made it very attractive to us." Once the software had been decided upon, we turned our attention to finding the right implementation partner. "We spoke to a couple of companies that offered services around Microsoft Dynamics GP but we chose Professional Advantage because they put forward the best proposal from a business process point of view. They understood what we needed." In addition to Microsoft Dynamics GP, Professional Advantage recommended that we deploy two other software solutions: SharePoint to enhance information management and support workflow processes; and WennSoft Service Management to provide extra functionality for our service division.

Pros
The project manager from Professional Advantage pushed us to make sure that we achieved what we set out to achieve. Support following implementation has been professional and readily available. The help desk is run by a very efficient, friendly team and there’s never any long queue or waiting times. They are always happy to help and they understand our business.
Cons
Not a thing. It was always going to be Professional Advantage once we'd decided on Microsoft Dynamics GP. While there are various resellers of GP out there, Professional Advantage was our choice because of previous experience. I was the new kid on the block at my organisation, so I certainly didn't want to blow the budget on my first exercise. I knew that Professional Advantage managed projects well, they gave reasonable estimates, and I knew they would keep me informed throughout.

Pros
We looked at all the major ERP [enterprise resource planning] vendors. It wasn’t until we saw how well Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM worked with SQL Server and SharePoint that it all fell into place. With the help of Scribe as an integration tool, we could see how it would work together, giving us the flexibility we needed while maintaining a solid environment for the ERP.
Cons
None
Additional Comments
We’ve achieved significant savings in transaction processing time and costs. There have been improvements in efficiency and in the information available to us to help manage costs. These benefits are estimated to be valued in the vicinity of $100,000 per annum. However the impact on the company’s culture is significant and cannot be quantified.
