GreatPay Payroll Solution for Microsoft Dynamics Accounting Programs

Pros

This application is very affordable and integration with GP is easy and seamless. We were early adopters and flushed out some issues or deficiencies, however I’m pleased to say Solutionware were very quick to resolve issues or create new functionality or reports as required. GreatPay meets our requirements and has been very reliable. In the near future, we’re excited to be piloting a Sharepoint portal that will allow self-service for managers (i.e. access reports) and users (i.e. update contact details or request leave).

Cons

Currently all reports are custom created by Solutionware which means we tend towards only critical reports and they must wait in a development queue. Although turnaround time for custom reports is reasonable, we would like a user friendly reporting tool for creating ad hoc reports as needed to increase reporting capability while not incurring additional costs.

Pros

GreatPay greatly fits the bill of our Business requirements. We have an explicit requirement of distributing the payroll transactions and expenses into different cost centers and GreatPay provided the perfect solution for us. Solutionware deserves Brownie points for coming up with a Payroll package for Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains. Now they have extended the integration to Microsoft Dynamics NAV and AX as well. I wish all the best to Solutionware and recommend GreatPay to all Dynamics product Users.

It highly meets our payroll requirements including leave liability reports.

There is no consolidated leave summary report.

Pros

We have found the GreatPay solution exactly that - a fantastic payroll solution that enables us to directly upload our payroll into Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains. It enables us to use our accounting package to its full potential all in one step with our payroll requirements

Cons

I have used many payroll solutions in the past. What I have found with GreatPay is that it provides a seamless integration to our accounting package that works!

The staff at the GreatPay office and always available for assistance. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Because GreatPay is local and always being extended to users requirements it is not a static solution, GreatPay can handle anyones payroll requirements - no matter the size or the complexity of their needs.

Pros

We have been using GreatPay for the last 2 years and haven't had any issues with it so far. We purchased GreatPay because it met our Business requirements pretty well and we wanted to cut down on the time required to enter Pay figures into Dynamics GP. Solutionware even added additional features for us like Custom Timesheet and extra reports. I can recommend the Payroll solution to the Dynamics GP users.

Pros

The ease of operations is what stands the Payroll out from other Payroll packages in the market.We required a payroll solution to go with Dynamics GP and GreatPay ticked most of the boxes. It is reasonably priced for its powerful features like EFT Files, Dynamics Integration, SharePoint interface and faster pay processing.

Cons

It would be nice to have a feature for users to create custom reports. Hopefully Solutionware can add this in the next Version release.

Pros

I LIKE THE FLEXIBILITY OF THE GREAT PAY PROGRAM AS WE CURRENTLY RUN THREE INDIVIDUAL COMPANIES WITHIN THE ONE PROGRAM. WE CAN PROCESS PAYS AND PRINT REPORTS FOR THE INDIVIDUAL COMPANIES, AND THEN OBTAIN OVERALL TOTALS & REPORTS FOR THE COMBINED GROUP. THE GREAT PAY PROGRAM SUITS OUR DIVERSE EMPLOYEE GROUP, I.E. TRUCK DRIVERS, OPERATORS, ADMINISTRATION, AND WORKSHOP PERSONNEL. EACH GROUP ARE PAID DIFFERENTLY, AND THE GREAT PAY PROGRAM CAN EASILY ACCOMODATE ALL OUR DIFFERENT NEEDS, I.E. SALARY, CONTRACT, AND HOURLY.
