MinePoint Business Intelligence provides significant value-add analysis capabilities by giving managers the information they need to strategically monitor the key performance indicators of the business, understand what is working well and what is causing adverse performance impacts, and to take action to proactively manage their key business processes.
The approach used in designing MinePoint Business Intelligence is to take the perspective of business users at the "coal face" and the information they need to monitor and manage performance in their areas of responsibility.
The result of this approach is that the data models, KPIs, and the associated reporting and analytic capability delivered by the MinePoint Business Intelligence modules are designed to be relevant to ANY mining operation, irrespective of ERP or production/maintenance applications in use.
The diversity of systems collecting physical data and operating statistics is an industry reality. The need to cater to this diversity has been explicitly recognised in UXC Eclipse's design.
While UXC Eclipse's MinePoint Business Intelligence offering will provide MinePoint customers with pre-built business logic and connectors, MinePoint Business Intelligence is designed with a data staging area that is specifically designed to be populated from any common mining business application capable of providing the correct data to drive the KPIs and reports.
In recognition that there will be data quality issues with some applications and business processes the design also caters for manually generated data loads.
