The purpose of the add-on is to cover the process of the payroll calculations in the company. All calculations are done on a periodical base (usually 1 month periods are used, but it is possible to use periods of any length).
The add-on allows calculating employee’s salary together with all taxes, social security and others. It also allows user-defined calculations to be performed and posted to G/L (e.g. a bonus based on employee’s or company’s performance, individual bank loans, internal loans from the company, etc.). All calculations are based on user-defined formulas (an initial set of formulas/Pay Items is provided with the add-on during the implementation) so they may be easily modified to meet the individual purposes of the company. It is also possible to use different sets of calculations for different groups of employees (e.g. based on the type of their employment contracts).
The add-on is fully integrated with the other modules of the system, especially with the General Ledger and Human Resources. Additionally, it is very easy to use the module together with the Manufacturing, Resources and Sales modules to calculate the employees’ remuneration based on their participation in the manufacturing process (payment per production produced) or sales percentage.
The employee’s work time is defined based on work calendars. The calendars define the work hours, work/holidays and work shifts (if used). Based on these, employee’s work time and salary is calculated. It is possible to define as many calendars as needed and to assign them to employees.
The add-on generates base reports and documents related to the payroll process. It also allows user-defined documents to be generated and exported to MS Word, using MS Word templates. The payroll data on the individual employee and company as a whole may also be generated as reports and exported to MS Excel, based on user-defined templates.
