Application Description
As a founding partner of Microsoft’s Connected Government Framework (CGF) initiative, formerly known as the Citizen Service Platform (CSP), Infusion has been an integral part of the development, architecture, and implementation of the framework.
The CGF is a service-oriented-architecture that transforms interaction with citizens and meets the following needs:
- Citizen portals with core components for the rapid delivery of SharePoint-based portals that provide search capabilities, a platform for delivering services online, links to other internet resources, and functionality for personalizing information and services pages for citizens and businesses
- Intranet portals providing staff with an integrated view of information across an organization
- Interactive forms that citizens and businesses can complete and submit online
- Citizen Contact Centers to provide multichannel access (phone, web, email, and instant messaging) to the information and services of government agencies
- Case management functions that, in response to internal or external event triggers, enable government employees to coordinate workflows
- Document and record management applications that enable gathering and feeding documents and other media into collections, formatting and conversion, organizing and maintaining information, and managing user access and editing rights
- Personalized web space where citizens can create and post their own content
- Communications applications to enable an agency’s employees to send and receive email, manage calendars, communicate in real-time, and more
- Search functionality for desktop and Internet content searches
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools for cartographic data entry, mapping and spatial query, and visualization of maps
