Microsoft CRM out of the box has some capability for mapping data from one (parent) record to another – ideal when creating a new record from the parent record as it saves a lot of time re-keying information that should naturally flow from one to the other.
However, when you create a record in its own right, and then link it to the parent record – there’s no mapping, nor is there any on-going synchronisation of data in the fields between the records.
ConsultCRM’s Data Mapper solves this issue.
Now you can create Data Maps from any entity to any other entity where a relationship exists. So whenever the data is updated on the parent record, the data is automatically synchronised with the child records at the attribute level.
