Extend Microsoft System Center to manage VMware
The Veeam Management Pack (MP) extends deep VMware monitoring, management and capacity planning to Microsoft System Center, providing a unified view of physical and virtual infrastructures and applications from one console.
Veeam MP extends the investments you've made in System Center by integrating VMware performance metrics into your Operations Manager console. Veeam MP works together with Microsoft System Center to monitor not only applications and operating systems, but also virtual machines, VMware vSphere and the hardware, storage and networks they run on—for true app-to-metal visibility.
Veeam MP takes the guesswork out of capacity planning for VMware with new reports built right into Microsoft System Center. Now you can forecast how many days remain for CPU, memory and storage; model what would happen if a host fails; and plan for your infrastructure needs so you’ll know how many VMs you can add at the current resource usage rate.
Veeam MP helps you meet service levels with new topology views for compute, network and storage, providing a deep understanding of relationships and dependencies in your infrastructure. Plus, the VMware knowledgebase and correlated performance metrics in alert descriptions help you quickly prioritize problems, find root causes and accurately escalate issues.
Veeam MP also works with Service Manager and Orchestrator. Veeam MP libraries can be imported to make Service Manager aware of all VMware objects it collects, such as hosts, VMs, clusters and resource pools. Service Manager then synchronizes with Operations Manager to build the inventory by pulling VMware objects into its database where they are available for service desk tickets, change control, approvals, etc. Veeam MP also enables Orchestrator runbooks, workflows and business automation using VMware data.
Veeam MP is a scalable and reliable solution that has proven itself in 1,000+ deployments worldwide. It supports Microsoft System Center 2012 SP1 Operations Manager and is certified for Windows Server 2012.
