- Pros
- User can easily convert a sales order by entering the printing requirements and printvis will automatically spell out the printing method, materials needed, estimating time of completion of the job.
Each individual departments will input their operation information into the system. This allows us to monitor the sales volume, productivity of the labour and the machines utilization to further finetune the individual operations to it most cost effective mode.
Real time information is passed down much more effectively as there is a one stop centralized system to update and retrieve information whereas compared to the past practice where a printed hard copy or job specs had to be reprinted and passed on to the individual department personnel when there are changes made.
- Cons
- Printing methods varies quite a fair bit thus some of the printing techniques cannot be well represented in the system. For example overlay printing, which is commonly found in box printing, is not supported in the printvis graphical interface. Users have to manually overlay two “ups” (image) to achieve the specs.
- Additional Comments
- The current user interface is too small and is an issue for older users.
