- Pros
- IT IS ALL GUI ALL THE TIME>>>>> NO Flippin powershell needed. YOu turn off hte firewall or allow your management PC to get through the firewall from microsoft on the free core server 2012 and then mapp a drive copy the downloaded vtutilies setup file, execute from teh dos prompt, follow the install prompts (GUI) and then you use it. Easy to create and manage your virtual switch(s) easy to use to import/export or create new vm's with either vhd or vhx files. The wizards are great and even with w little hypervisor knowledge you can be up and running with an hour.
- Cons
- THe GUI is great but could be laid out a little better, very clunky to change from the Hyper-v VM manager to the Hyper-v Server manager to the File manager. Just click and and you will see all it has to offer. when you are editing a VM pay attention the the itms at the bottom of the screen, they are no located where the eye is trained to look but you will see you can edit the network, ide and scsi devices easily.
